Before Climbing Up Tokyo Tower, Have Lunch at ‘MON’, a Mom-Friendly Spanish Bal
Eat something first before climbing! This bal is located between Daimon Station and Zojoji Temple. Though it’s a bal, it offers kids’ favorite menu as well, such as hamburger and rice omelet.
This kind of place is usually ‘kids unwelcome’, but thankfully, all the staff here is kind and friendly.
MON’s special ‘Omuraisu’,(rice omlet)! The soft scrambled eggs on top and their original sauce are really good, and the taste reminds me of my mom’s cooking somehow.
‘Teriyaki Hanba-gu (hamburger) Lunch’. My son wolfs it down!
Zojoji Temple Is One of Tokyo’s Most Picturesque Photo Spots with Tokyo Tower in the Background.
Zojoji Temple, known as the family temple of the Tokugawa dynasty, enshrines the mortuary tablets of Tokugawa Shoguns here. The temple used to be huge, but it’s much smaller now. So much was destroyed during the Tokyo fire bombings of World WarⅡ,and some parts of the land were sold and used to build Tokyo Prince Hotel. When going through the gate, you will be amazed at the great view of the temple with Tokyo Tower behind it.
’Sangedatsumon’ Gate. It is said that if you go through the gate, you can remove three ‘Bonnou’ (worldly desires): ‘Musabori’ (greediness), ‘Ikari’ (grudge), and ‘Orokasa’ (stupidity).
‘Chozuya’, a place for rutual cleansing of hands and mouth with water. It has a retro taste with its beautiful green bamboo.

Try Climbing Up the 333-Meter Tokyo Tower to the Observatory!
This is today’s main event. Let’s start walking up the 600 stairs, enjoying the great view and nice breeze. Here we go!
Keep it up!
You can look down over the Zojoji from above. It’s beautiful!
Here we are! It took 15 minutes or so. We did it!
We go up to the Special Observatory by the elevator. And we find a cicada there! Wow! Isn’t that incredible?
This ball might have been brought here by this cicada. OK. That’s all for today’s course. Hope you try it on a beautiful sunny weekend!
