Broke before Payday? No Worries! Under ￥1000 Barhopping Course in Akabane.
‘Salarymen’ can’t resist drinking even if they are broke before payday. So, what I introduce today, is a wallet-friendly barhopping course in Akabane.

Arrive at JR Akabane Station West Exit, Located in a Cheap Bar District.
Firstly, Visit ‘Maruyoshi’, a Casual ‘After-Work’ Bar with its Distinctive ‘Noren’ Curtain Thrilling My Heart.

Considering the price and quantity, I decied on ‘Hoppy’ (350 yen).
‘Motsuyaki’, grilled giblets. (80 yen for each). I order two kinds of them called ‘Kashira’ and ‘Hatsu’(160 yen). Then total cost is 510 yen so far.
‘Potato Salad’ (200 yen). Total cost, 710 yen so far.
Heart-shaped(?) ‘Bacon and Eggs’ (280 yen). That’s all I've ordered. It has cost just 990 yen in total!
Next, Visit ‘Maruken Suisan’ for Something Warm to Eat as Today’s Last Meal.
This Standing bar offers freshly made Oden (Japanese hot pot) that has been added to the menu by the owner’s son.
Of course I order ‘Oden Set’ (Oden Combo including 5 kinds of Oden and 1 Sake) which is for 700yen.
‘Maru CUP’ of ‘Marushin Masamune’, one of Tokyo’s local sake brands. After drinking up 2/3 of it, mix the rest with the Oden broth, which makes a real tasty drink! I really appreciate whoever has come up with this terrific idea! (You can ask for the broth for free by the way.) That’s all for today. The total cost per place is 990 yen for Maruyoshi and 700 yen for Maruken Suisan, which means 1000 yen per place is enough to enjoy drinking
